CSD And ARL Iowa Host Workshop

The Center for Shelter Dogs and the Animal Rescue League of Iowa are hosting a day-long regional workshop titled, “Finding the Right Homes: Keys to Successful Adoptions,” on Sunday September 23, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM.
The workshop is designed to educate shelters and humane organizations on how to better understand, care for and re-home shelter animals by assessing their individual needs.
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa will teach attendees best practices for feline litterbox issues, aggression, enrichment needs, cat introductions and creative adoption and foster programs.
The Center for Shelter Dogs will teach attendees how to manage jumpy/mouthy and food aggressive behavior in shelter dogs, as well as how to meet their needs and find the most suitable homes.
The workshop will take place at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, 5452 NE 22nd St, Des Moines, IA. Tickets are $35.
