Is your dog a high-energy go-getter who never seems to settle down? Is he or she the canine version of the Energizer Bunny - getting so excited it’s hard to stop jumping, jumping, jumping?
Is your dog always grabbing a leash, clothes, or your arm with his/her mouth? If so, then have we have the place for your dog! The Center for Shelter Dogs is recruiting high-energy, highly excitable dogs for a research study examining their behavior and response to a specially designed training program for these dogs.
Qualified dogs will board at JM Pet Resort in Brockton, MA for 8 days either October 28 to November 4 or November 4 to November 11, with all fees paid for by the Center for Shelter Dogs. While there, dogs will be walked, have play time, and attend doggy play group (if they find that fun). Some dogs will also receive additional training to address their rambunctious behavior. As a thank you, owners will receive a customized training plan for their dog and an individual behavioral consultation with our experienced behaviorist or dog trainers after you take your dog home.
To be eligible, your dog MUST:
- be medically healthy and able to participate in walks, play sessions, and play groups
- be up to date on vaccinations
- and be a high energy, highly excitable dog who might just drive you a little crazy!
